FAQ's
What is the downtime after a peel?
Downtime after a peel does vary depending on your specific skin, and the type of peel used. During your consultation, we will determine which peel is suitable for your skin based on your concerns and your skins condition. Our peels typically cause mild to moderate peeling, and this can last anywhere between 2-7 days, depending on the peel. It is important to avoid any heat inducing activities in the first 48-72 hours after a peel - this includes spas, saunas, hot yoga, and heavy exercise. Your skin therapist will explain the specific downtime and aftercare for your treatment to you during the consultation.
Can I wear makeup after a peel?
We recommend to avoid makeup as much as possible during the peeling process, but if you wish to, we recommend using a mineral makeup.
How often should I have this treatment?
Typically we recommend to do peels in courses of 3 or more treatments at monthly intervals, but this will depend on your skin concerns/goals.
Does having a peel hurt/feel uncomfortable?
Most peels will feel tingly/warm during application, but none of the peels we use would be considered painful.
